JDC- ECHS 2020 - 2021 Updates
At 3 p.m. yesterday, Governor Cooper announced “Plan B” as the baseline for North Carolina schools, with slight modifications to building capacity, a strengthened face coverings requirement (all staff and students from kindergarten through twelfth), and an announcement that the state would provide five days of face coverings for staff and students. He also reiterated that school districts might choose “Plan C,” full remote instruction, if necessary.
In an effort to ensure the best possible start to the school year for our students in 2020-21, JDC-ECHS will offer a robust online learning program for students. We will begin the year with full remote instruction. All classes including most college classes will be on-line. Every student will receive a laptop and required to complete all assignments virtually the first semester. COVID-19 will not prevent our students from receiving an entire school year of high-quality instruction from engaged educators along with the support of our school counselor, social worker, and other district professionals.
As we approach the beginning of the new school year, I would like to share with you upcoming events.
