Weekly Announcement - September 18, 2022

Hello, Durham School of Technology. This is Principal Wright with your weekly update!

Scholars, this is week 7 of the school year! EOC benchmark assessments are this week. Scholars that are enrolled in Math I, Math III, Biology, and English II, please make sure you are clear with your teacher on the day and time your benchmark is scheduled. Please take this assessment seriously and do your best. Remember, your teachers will use this data to plan as they move forward to continue to prepare you for the end-of-course (EOC) exam that you will take in December.

The PTSA thanks everyone for your Jersey Mike support – the fundraiser went well, as well as all that came out to volunteer with concessions at the Duke game! Your help was greatly appreciated. Please consider volunteering on October 1st. See the link below to sign up for all games. Contact the PTSA President (Ms. Scarborough) if you have any questions at 919-624-8311. https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/20F0D45A8A82BA7F94-durham

Just a reminder – Parents, please remind all sophomores and freshmen that they are not allowed to leave campus for lunch. We are still having some issues with 9th and 10th grade students walking to Bojangles, across the street to the store, and down Cook Rd. for lunch.

Sophomore and junior parents and scholars: Please remember the sophomore & junior parent/student information session scheduled for this Tuesday, September 20th, from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at Durham School of Technology. Please plan to attend this important information session. Please note: The freshmen session is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27th, from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM.

That’s all for now. Everyone, stay safe, stay healthy. We look forward to seeing each of you this week in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing, with the right people! Make it a great evening.
