Weekly Message - December 2, 2018
Great day all!
Six more days until final exams! Please make sure you have updated your grades. Final exams are quickly approaching and then the winter break will be here. When we return in January second semester will be upon us so please make sure you are prepared to close out this semester before you leave for the break.
We will have our testing training in the lab Monday so please report to the lab immediately after dismissal. In addition, some of you have expressed to me the idea of trying to work out a schedule for next semester that includes a school-wide break. Think about what that may look like and let's discuss a little Monday.
New Tech please bring hats, coats, scarves, gloves, etc. to support the PTSA as they work to help families in need in the Durham community.
In addition, I am asking that everyone work extremely hard to be present for the next 6 days, we are all depending on each other to play the instrument in this orchestra that you selected. It takes everyone to produce the harmony we need at New Tech - everyone matters so please... we need everyone to show up every day prepared for extraordinary teaching and learning.
Please mark your calendar for these important dates:
Monday, December 3rd – Workkeys Testing Window Open
Monday, December 3rd - Mandatory Test Administrators and Proctor Training for staff/New Tech Lab @4:10
Monday, December 10th - Staff Meeting/New Tech Lab @ 4:10
Monday, December 10th - PTSA Meeting/New Tech Lab @ 5:30
Tuesday, December 11th thru December 14th - Final Exams Administered
Everyone make it a week of A plus Attitudes, A plus Attendance, and A plus Academics! I look forward to seeing each of you tomorrow in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing, with the right people.
Remember… to be the best I begin by thinking I am the best!
