Hello, Durham School of Technology! This is Principal Wright with your weekly update.

Everyone, congratulations! This week is the week before spring break. Junior scholars,, please note you have ACT Prep this Wednesday, March 1st, during the 1st period and 2nd period. In addition, mark your calendar for ACT Prep on March 13th, 15th, and 17th. The actual ACT will be administered to all juniors on March 21, 2023.

Everyone, please note that Thursday, March 2nd is the last day of the 3rd quarter for high school classes. Scholars, remember to touch base with your high school teachers Monday to ensure you are caught up with all assignments.

All families are reminded that Friday, March 3rd is a teacher workday – no school for students. Spring break will start Monday, March 6th, through Friday, March 10th. All students should return to school Monday, March 13th.

Lastly, congratulations to the following seniors on their college acceptances:

Theodore Chavis – NC A&T State University and Wingate University with a $104,000 scholarship offer.

Samahd McBride – the University of Puget Sound with a $112,000 scholarship offer.

Keep up the great work, seniors! Please continue to send Mrs. Ross-Gunter your college acceptance letters and scholarship offers.
