Hello, Durham School of Technology! This is Principal Wright with your weekly update!
All families are reminded that school is closed tomorrow, January 16th, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. The school will resume at 9:15 AM Tuesday, January 17th.
Congratulations to our Durham Tech students; you are off to a great start! Remember scholars to check the Durham Tech website to ensure you are clear on the days Durham Tech is open for classes. When Durham Tech is open, you must attend your Durham Tech classes even if Durham School of Technology is closed.
Parents, all students at this point have received a syllabus for all high school classes and all Durham Tech classes. Parents, please take some time to review this information with your scholar and discuss an acceleration plan to ensure everyone is on the same page. Remember to check PowerSchool and Canvas for all high school class assignments and grades and Sakai for all Durham Tech grades and assignments. In addition, please check the Durham Public School and Durham Tech emails weekly with your scholar. Parents, if you cannot access Canvas or PowerSchool, please email Mrs. Alston for assistance at Janice.Alston@dpsnc.net.
Scholars, please remember as we discussed in each class – your teachers and college professors at Durham Tech are unable to compete with your cell phone. School-wide, cell phones are not allowed in any class. Please plan to have your cell phone out of site during class. Everyone, let’s keep the main thing the main thing – “thriving in a safe learning environment!”
Congratulations to the following seniors on their college acceptances:
