Weekly Announcement - November 6, 2022

Hello, Durham School of Technology! This is Principal Wright with your weekly update.

Everyone, please remember that Tuesday, November 8th, is a teacher work day – no school for students, and Friday, November 11th is a holiday; therefore, the school will be closed. Please plan accordingly.

Also, this week students will continue benchmark assessments for Math I and Math III as well as make-ups for English II and Biology. Therefore, if you are enrolled in these classes this semester, scholars, please ensure you are in school this week to get these assessments completed.

Lastly, for Senior Scholars: November 15, 16, and 17, the ACT WorkKeys test will be administered. 12th grade CTE pathway concentrators were provided more information on this test and were enrolled in a Canvas course to practice online.

Parents, please have your scholar check the dashboard of their Canvas to accept the invitation to the course and begin practicing for the ACT WorkKeys test.

Assigned test day, test information, and periodic updates will be sent to students via their Canvas account and their DPS email.

Please contact Mrs. Mia Morris or Ms. Alexis Van Culin if you have questions related to the ACT WorkKeys test.

That’s all for now. Thank you for listening. We look forward to seeing each of you this week in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing, with the right people. Make it a great evening!
