SCS will be offering AP Computer Science Principles (CSP) Course 2nd semester. We are looking for individuals who are interested in understanding how computing and technology influence the world.

The course offers knowledge for students to:

• Create digital projects, such as videos and mobile apps
• Address real-world issues in the same way that writers, programmers, engineers, and designers would
• Conceive and implement digital projects, utilizing some of the same processes that writers, programmers, engineers, designers, and other creators use to bring their ideas to life.

Prerequisites:

• It is recommended that students in the AP CSP course have a strong foundation of basic linear functions, composition of functions, and problem-solving strategies that require multiple approaches and collaborative efforts.
• Students should be able to use a Cartesian (x, y) coordinate system to represent points on a plane.
• Foundation of mathematical reasoning should be acquired before attempting this course.
• Prior computer science experience is not required to take this course. AP CSP is an introductory- level course meant for all students.
• A school year studying computer science will help you learn and grow by applying your ideas to create real solutions.

Padres y Estudiantes

SCS ofrecerá el curso de Principios de Informática AP (CSP) en el segundo semestre. Buscamos personas interesadas en comprender cómo la informática y la tecnología influyen en el mundo.

El curso ofrece conocimientos para que los estudiantes puedan:

Crear proyectos digitales, tales como videos y aplicaciones móviles

Abordar problemas del mundo real del mismo modo que lo harían escritores, programadores, ingenieros y diseñadores

Concebir e implementar proyectos digitales, utilizando algunos de los mismos procesos que los escritores, programadores, ingenieros, diseñadores y otros creadores utilizan para dar vida a sus ideas.

Prerrequisitos:

• Se recomienda que los estudiantes del curso AP CSP tengan una base sólida de funciones lineales básicas, composición de funciones y estrategias de resolución de problemas que requieren múltiples enfoques y esfuerzos colaborativos.
• Los estudiantes deben ser capaces de utilizar un sistema de coordenadas cartesianas (x, y) para representar puntos en un plano.
• Se deben adquirir bases de razonamiento matemático antes de intentar este curso.
• No se requiere experiencia previa en informática para realizar este curso. AP es un curso de nivel introductorio dirigido a todos los estudiantes. 
• Un año escolar estudiando informática te ayudará a aprender y crecer aplicando tus ideas para crear soluciones reales.

¿Interesado en AP CSP?
