2020-21 Mabs Kemp Essay Contest
The Mabs Kemp Essay Contest was introduced at the 10th Mid-Atlantic Regional Meeting in New Bern, North Carolina on March 11-13, 1994. The contest is named in honor of Past National President and Past Mid-Atlantic Regional Director Mabs Kemp.
The Mabs Kemp Award is given to a high school, middle school, and elementary school student who submits the most creative writing essay. The purpose of this award is to stimulate creative thinking in written expression.
