Progress Reports

Progress reports were sent home with students this week.  Please review the progress report with your child and devise a plan to complete and submit any missing assignments.

Make-Up Days Reminder

In order to make up the instructional time missed due to the hurricanes,  Sept. 13Sept. 19 and Dec. 5 DPS Early Release days have been changed to full days. The upcoming Early Release day originally scheduled for December 5th has been canceled and December 5th will now be a full day of instruction for students and staff.

Case 21 Testing

Mark your calendars. Students will take District Case 21 benchmark assessments in reading, math and 8th grade science during the week of December 10th -14th. The assessments will focus on standards taught during the first and second nine weeks. The data will be used to guide instruction and cover any needed areas of focus from the first and second quarters. We ask that all students get a good night’s sleep, eat breakfast, and come to school prepared and on time. Please reach out to your student's teacher if you have any questions about these assessments.

PTA Un-Fundraiser

We’re off to a good start with our 2018 Ram Power Unfundraiser. This year, we’re going for 100% participation and your donation of any size would be very much appreciated. You can send a check to school with your student, made out to the RHMS PTA, or you can give online at With your help, we are raising $20,000 in funds to pay for more students to participate in extracurricular activities, teacher recognition, graphing calculators for our math classrooms, walkie-talkies to maximize school communication and safety, and a new gym audio sound system. With your help, I know we can get there and reach our goals. Thanks again for supporting our PTA and the important work they do in ensuring that Rogers-Herr continues to provide all of our students with an outstanding, 21st Century education. All donations to the Unfundraiser are tax-deductible.

There will be an interpreter on sight for all Spanish speaking families.
