On Wednesday, September 27, parents of scholars identified as AIG are asked to come to the media center that afternoon at 5:30 to sign DEPs. Student led conferences will take place from 5:45 to 6:45. Please mark your calendars.

2023-24 PTA membership for each voting member of a Githens household. Any adult (caregiver, grandparent, guardian, etc.) can join to add their voice in support of the Githens community.North Carolina PTA dues (which our school PTA pays per member to the NCPTA each year) increased from $4.00 to $5.25 for the 2023-24 school year. Our goal is for our PTA to be inclusive and accessible to everyone who would like to join us in supporting Githens, so we try to keep membership costs as low as possible. Unfortunately, due to the state increase, we must change our membership pricing to cover the difference. We appreciate your understanding, and thank you for choosing to share your voice with the Githens PTA.

Githens BOB will have the first informational meeting on September 15th during grade level lunches. Students should come to the Media Center during their assigned lunch on Friday, September 15th. To reward and motivate our scholars, students can earn Raider Bucks to spend at The Raiders Store. In order for scholars to earn Raider Bucks from their teachers they must demonstrate The Raider Way. Scholars show The Raider Way by demonstrating responsibility, respect, and being ready to learn. We want to reward our scholars who come to school each day and give their best! At The Raiders Store, students can purchase prizes, snacks, and tickets for school events. The Githens PTA has supports this initiative by creating an Amazon Wishlist for parents and friends of Githens Middle School to donate these prizes and snacks for students.
