Good evening Githens families. This is Dr. Lanier with an important message regarding tomorrow’s remote learning day.
Remote asynchronous learning is defined as learning that takes place outside of the traditional school setting using various media and formats, such as but not limited to: telephone conference, print material, online material, or learning management systems. On DPS designated asynchronous remote learning days, the goal is for students to have the opportunity to engage in learning activities that can be completed without joining a synchronous class session. This means that students will not interact with teachers via Zoom. In anticipation of an asynchronous learning day, all teachers reviewed their Canvas pages with students today such that they knew how to find all assignments. Please ensure your scholar completes all assignments for core and elective courses. Please note, teachers will take attendance at 12:00.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding assignments or Canvas pages, please contact your scholar’s teachers directly. They will be able to assist you with their pages.
Everyone be safe this weekend and we look forward to welcoming our Raiders first thing Monday morning.
