DPS Panorama Survey Opt-In

Parents of K-3 Students:

Durham Public Schools is sharing information with parents about an upcoming survey that focuses on SEL (or social-emotional learning). Building social-emotional learning skills is an important goal for our schools this year. Students and teachers are participating in several exercises to better understand these concepts. For several years, we have administered a survey designed to give students a chance to reflect on how they perceive these skills in themselves.

Due to the new Parents’ Bill of Rights, DPS is seeking parental consent to allow K-3 students to participate in the survey. For younger students in grades through 2nd grade, homeroom teachers will complete a perception survey for each student. Students in grade 3 and above take the survey independently with staff supervision. Please look for an email and/or a text with a link to consent, or you may click this link to allow your student to participate: https://t.ly/seloptin

Please call your child’s school if you have questions or concerns. Thank you for your consideration.
