Principal's Update 3/14/21

Good afternoon Cougar Country,
Monday March 14 is the last day to donate to the color battle fundraiser.  Participating students will have their  color battle on Monday afternoon.  Please see your Carrington Cougar for their individual fundraising code.  
Carrington PTO will host the next Carrington Night Out on Wednesday, March 16th from 4-10pm at Marco’s Pizza on Roxboro Road.  Take a break from cooking and order out for dinner.  A portion of your purchase will be donated back to Carrington to support the work of our PTO to benefit teachers and students.
Parents and students, please join us during one of our Rising 6th Grade Information sessions to gain important information about the transition to middle school.  You will hear from our principal, counselors, and students as they share exciting details about Carrington Middle School.  Sessions will take place on Wednesday, March 16th and Friday, March 18th at 9am.  To register, please visit Carrington's website. 
This week in sports, Tuesday, March 15, the soccer, baseball, and softball teams will travel to Lucas. The game starts at 4:00 pm. Wednesday, March 16, track and field will host Lucas.  The meet will start at 4:00 pm. Thursday, March 17, the  soccer, baseball, and softball teams will host Lowe’s Grove. The game starts at 4:00 pm. Tickets must be purchased online at or on Carrington’s athletic webpage. There is no cost for elementary age students and younger, everyone else the cost is $5.00. Per Durham Public Schools Athletic Department: Spectators will continue to wear facemasks at athletic events. Spectators are limited to one small, clear plastic bag.  Spectators who leave the venue will not be permitted re-entry. . All parties must be present at the gate when validating your game tickets and screenshots and or pictures of game tickets are not allowed.
