Principal's Update for the Week of 1/21/24

Greetings, This is Carrington with an update for the week of January 21st,

Parents this just a reminder report cards will be distributed on Tuesday, January 23rd


Also please stay attentive for updates as were are uncertain about transportation this week.

8th Grade Parents, on Monday January 29th at 6pm, Carrington will host our 8th Grade Parent Night to provide information about the various High School Options offered through DPS.  We encourage parents and guardians to attend, to discover important details regarding the Magnet and Specialty High School Application process. Is your student interested in traveling to the Czech Republic, Germany, and Switzerland during Spring Break 2025?  An art class at the remains of the Berlin Wall, bike tours, a German cooking class,  a Swiss Alps experience, a WWII Underground Prague tour, and much more is awaiting your student!

There will be a parent interest meeting on:
Tuesday, January 23:  In Person Meeting at 6:30 at CMS in B-9  https://bit.ly/3vnAdKJ (use this link to enroll for the meeting)  If you sign up for the meeting, your name will be put into a drawing.  If you decide to enroll on the trip, $95.00 will be taken off the enrollment fee!

This week in sports, Monday, January 22, baseball interest zoom meeting at 6:30 pm. The link is located on the athletic webpage. Tuesday, January 23, Boys and Girls Basketball will travel to Lakewood. The game will start at 4:45 pm. The boys will play first followed by the girls game. Wednesday, January 24, Wrestling will travel to Brogden. The match will start at 4:45 pm.  Thursday, January 25,  Boys and Girls Basketball will host Lucas. The game will start at 4:45 pm.  The girls will play first followed by the boys game. Tickets can be purchased on GoFan.com. The link is on the athletic webpage.  Tickets are $8.00, free for elementary age and younger. Middle and Elementary school students must be accompanied by an adult to enter and must remain with them during athletic events. Please review our stadium policy and procedures on the athletic webpage. There is also a clear bag and no re-entry policy in place for our athletic events.
