Principal's Update for the Week of 12/10/23

Greetings this is Carrington with an update for the week of December 10th,

This week is Carrington’s Holiday Spirit week:

Monday- Holiday Pajama Day
Tuesday- Holiday Green Day (Dress up in Green attire)
Wednesday - Holiday Red Day (Dress up in Red attire/Red for Ed)
Thursday - Holiday Socks Day
Friday - Favorite Winter/Holiday Character Day
Monday - Ugly Sweater Day
Tuesday - Holiday Pajama Day

7th Grade students will attend the SwagBRRR Day field trip to Galaxy Fun Park on Dec. 13th and 8th Grade students on Dec. 14th.  Final payments of $25 are due on Monday, Dec.11th.  Payments and permission forms will not be accepted after Monday.  No exceptions.

The Math Team will meet in Mrs. Pike’s classroom on Wednesday 13th from 3:30 - 4:30.

Global Travel: If you are interested in your student traveling to Central Europe next year, please contact Mrs. McCall.  We will be visiting Germany, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.  There are only 47 spots and we have 21 people already signed up.  If you enroll before January, the cost is $200 off!  Contact Mrs. McCall at for more information.

The Book Fair is here! From December 8-14 we will be open from 9:15-3:15. December 13th is family night so shopping hours are until 7:00 pm. Books make great gifts, especially for teachers.

Little Caesar pizza kits will arrive on Wednesday, December 13th, during school.  Band and orchestra parents may begin picking up items at the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m.  Please remember that all kits will need to be picked up that afternoon as they need to be delivered or put in the freezer that same day.

This week in sports, Tuesday, December 12, Boys and Girls Basketball will host Lakewood. The game will start at 4:45 pm.  The boys will play first, followed by the girls' game. On Thursday, December 14, boys and girls basketball will travel to Lowe’s Grove.  The game will start at 4:45 pm.  The boys will play first, followed by the girls' game. Tickets can be purchased on  The link is on the athletic webpage.  Tickets are $8.00, free for elementary age and younger.  Middle and elementary school students must be accompanied by an adult to enter and must remain with their student(s) during athletic events.
