Principal's Update for the Week of 11/26/23


This is Carrington with an update for the week of November 26th.

Math team will meet Wednesday Nov 29 from 3:30 - 4:30pm in Mrs. Pike’s Room.

CMS Yearbooks are on sale for the low price of $25.00 until January 27th.  After that, the cost will be $30.  You will get a hard cover along with almost 100 pages all in color.  Order online at  CMS online code is YB29739.

8th Grade Parents interested in doing an AD in the back of the yearbook, a flier was sent to your child in their homeroom for you to purchase an AD. The deadline is by Feb. 2024. Any questions about yearbooks or ADs, please contact Ms. Odell.

Any Carrington Parent interested in supporting the Band and Orchestra?  Buy a Little Caesars pizza kit or bread to help support our cause.  Contact Ms. Odell for assistance in how to order.

Band and Orchestra students - Your Little Caesars fundraiser is due on Monday when you return from Thanksgiving break.  Please bring in orders and payment for all kits sold. 

This year we are headed to Galaxy Fun Park for SwagBRRR Day.  6th Grade students will attend on Dec. 8th, 7th Grade on Dec. 13th and 8th Grade on Dec. 14th.  All students who have shown Positive Behavior and Good Attendance will be eligible to attend.  If you are concerned about your child’s eligibility, please contact their Homeroom teacher.  A signed Waiver and Permission Form is required to attend. To wrap up Career Development Month, Carrington will host a Career Spirit Week.  Monday is  College Pride Day, wear your favorite college or university gear. Tuesday is Bright Future Day, wear your shades and neon colors.  Wednesday is Big Dreams/Dress for Success Day, wear professional attire or dress as your future career.  Thursday is Student/Teacher Swap Day, teachers will dress as students and students dress as teachers.  Lastly, Friday is Camo & Cougar Day please wear Cougar colors and camouflage to show support for careers in the armed forces.

This week in sports, the winter sports parent meeting will be on Wednesday, November 29 at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria. It is mandatory that one parent is present at the meeting. In this meeting they will go over athletic procedure and expectations for the winter season.  Wednesday, November 29, winter team sports picture day.
