Memorial Day Holiday: Monday, May 29 is the Memorial Day Holiday.  There will be no school for students and our offices will be closed.

EOG Testing: Our End-of-Year State EOG testing continues this week:

Reading: The EOG Reading test for 6th-8th grade will be administered on Wednesday, May 31st

Math: The EOG Math test for 6th-8th grade will be administered on Thursday, June 1.

Math I: The high school End of Cource (EOC) exam for Math I will be administered on Friday, June 2. 

The EOGs are designed to measure student performance on the goals, objectives, and grade-level competencies specified in the North Carolina Common Core Standards.  Testing will begin at 8:30 AM each morning and end at approximately 12:00 PM.

8th Grade Dance:  The 8th grade dance will be held on June 3 from 7pm-10pm. Tickets are available for 8th grade families to purchase on the CMS webpage under the parents tab.  Carrington.dpsnc.net > parents > online school payments > 8th grade formal.  Students can purchase tickets with cash at school this week.  The last day to purchase tickets is Friday, June 2.

8th Grade Moving-On Ceremony: The 8th grade Moving On & Awards ceremony will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 10:00 am.  The ceremony will be held in our gym and space is quite limited.  Each student will receive two tickets for guests to attend.  Each guest will be required to enter with a ticket.  Any visitor without a ticket cannot be admitted.
