Laptop Inventory: In order to prepare for the EOG testing season, we will begin our laptop inventories Monday, May 15.  Students, beginning Monday, you are required to bring your laptop and charger for inventory.  If you are missing either your laptop or charger, please communicate this your your homeroom teacher on Monday.

Travel to Japan: If you missed the Parent Interest Meeting for the Japan trip, please contact Mrs. McCall at 919-560-3916 ext. 16310 or email amanda_mccall@dpsnc.net.  We currently have 13 people signed up and will be traveling over spring break 2024!  The world is open…let’s start our adventure.

Required Student Immunizations: 6th & 7th garde parents - It is time to update your child’s immunizations.  NC state law requires that all students who are 12 or are entering 7th grade, must have updated Tdap and meningitis immunizations. Student immunizations must be updated before students can begin 7th grade.  Please contact your primary health care provider or the health department for these required immunizations.  If your child already has updated  immunizations this year, please send a copy of the immuniation record to the school if you have not already done so.

8th Grade Dance:  The 8th grade dance will be held on June 3, 2023.  Tickets are available for 8th grade families to purchase on the CMS webpage under the parents tab.  Carrington.dpsnc.net > parents > online school payments > 8th grade formal.  We are seeking donations for drinks including: bottled water, KoolAid Jammers, Capri Sun, Coke cans, Sprite Cans.  Donations can be dropped off in the main office.  We appreciate any donation!  Thank you.

Summer Camp: Carrington will host a summer camp July 10-27th. The camp will offer ELA, Math, STEAM, SEL and physical activity.  The days and hours of operation are 8:15 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Thursday.  Transportation, breakfast, lunch, snacks and field trips are offered at no charge to the student.  The application is located on our website.  Please contact Ms. Applewhite at terry_applewhite@dpsnc.net or (919) 287-5699. 

Sports Physicals: EmergeOrtho  on 120 William Penn Plaza Durham NC  is excited to once again offer our $10 Sports Physical event! This year Sports Physicals night will take place on Thursday, May 18th, 4:00p – 7:00pm at multiple locations around the Triangle. Cash or check ONLY.
