Spring 2021 Schedules and FAQ

Hello Sandy Ridge family and friends! We are super excited and ready to receive in person students Monday morning, while continuing to serve our virtual learning students. Our staff has worked really hard to prepare their environments. In-person learning will look different than it has in the past, and there may be some adjustments to the schedule for virtual learners, but we will continue to continue to focus on teaching all of our students through the lens of the arts. Find our NEW Schedules (beginning March 15, 2021) here:  In-Person/Hybrid / Virtual . Read answers to our Frequently Asked Questions.

Our number one priority is safety.  We need your help with safety before your child steps foot outside of your home to leave for school in the morning. ALL families must complete the online screener for each child every day before your child leaves for school. The screener is a simple and clear way to communicate directly to the school that your child is healthy and safe to be at school. The school will monitor our student screener survey dashboard. When your child arrives at school, first we will check for the GREEN check mark, then take your child’s temperature. If their temperature is over 100.4, they will not be permitted into the school building and will need to return home with you. We have two screening stations.

  1. Bus riders will be screened in the bus lot each morning. Bus riders MUST gain entry onto the bus Monday morning by using the Attestation Statement (English / Spanish). Staff will check our dashboard for a GREEN check on the parent digital parent screener tool for each student. Then staff members will take your child’s temperature. Watch our video HERE to see what the process will look like.
  2. Car Riders will enter through carpool lane. They will remain in the car, until a staff member checks the dashboard for the GREEN check on the parent digital screener tool for each student OR the parent displays the GREEN check on their phone or digital device to the staff member screening their student. The staff member will then check the student’s temperature. The student may exit the car and enter school only with the permission of the staff member. Staff members will be on duty to assist students in finding their classrooms. Watch our video HERE to see what the process will look like.

Please practice patience and courtesy as our staff members will be methodical in the screening process. These are new routines and procedures for all of us.

Dismissal procedures will take more time as well.  Again, please be patient and kind to one another as we work towards keeping everyone safe.

Parents who are picking students up in the afternoon:

We are pleased to announce that we have a new system that will allow students to remain in their classroom until you arrive on campus. This will allow our car rider line to be more easily socially distanced. Teachers will be able to see you move through the car rider line in real time. We just need you to download the app, create your profile, and open it when you get to school. Watch THIS VIDEO to learn how the app works.
