The Bridging the Gap Chess Event was an event sponsored by IBM and the 64N1 Chess Club that took place on May 4th.  Students from Oak Group, Southern and other school participated.  Our students had the opportunity to play chess with different community members.  It was good to see our Superintendent, Dr. Mubenga engaged in a game of chess.  Also in attendance was Durham's Mayor Steve Shewel. A special thanks to Mr. Roger Brown for bringing chess into our students' lives.
