Weekly Message for the Week of 2/17/20
Hello Parkwood Families – This is principal Anna Rusconi with your weekly message.
Like most schools in the area, we are experiencing a higher volume of students and staff who are sick with the flu or another virus. If your child is sick, please remember that it is very important to make sure to keep your child home when they have a fever. Students who are running a fever should be fever free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school. This is the best way to prevent the spread of the flu and other viruses that are going around.
Our February PTA meeting will take place this Wednesday, February 19th at 5:30 pm in the Media Center. All are welcome to attend!
This Thursday, February 20th, Zweli's restaurant will be hosting a Dine out for Parkwood fundraiser. Dine in or carry out all day on Thursday the 20th and tell them that you're there to support Parkwood, and Zweli's will donate 15% back to our school. Look for the flier in your students' take-home folder for more information!
Our PTA Spring Bookfair will be held from March 9th-13th. The fair will run from 7:30-3:00 each day in the Media Center, and we need your help to make the fair run smoothly! If you are able to volunteer an hour or two of time, please email the PTA at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for a shift!
April may seem far away, but we're already well into our Spring Carnival plans! Mark your calendars for this year's Spring Carnival, which will be held on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00-1:00 at the school!
As always, thank you for listening and remember, Parkwood Panthers show PRIDE!
