Weekly Message for the Week of 9/14/20
Hello Parkwood Families,
Tomorrow, Monday September 14, we will begin our revised Remote Learning Schedule. I am excited to see how our awesome learning community will benefit from these changes!
Tomorrow is also the beginning of Instructional Assistant Appreciation Week! We are incredibly lucky at Parkwood for many reasons, and one of the big ones is that our instructional assistants are truly the best. You will not find a more dedicated, caring and brilliant group of. If you are able, I know they would love an email showing your appreciation for the support of our Parkwood students; you can find all the emails for our awesome IA’s on Parkwood’s website underneath the Staff tab.
Our grade level curriculum nights will take place this week. Curriculum Night will be via Zoom and grade level teachers have sent out their Zoom links. If you have not yet received that information, please reach out to your child’s teacher; we would love every family to attend! We will also have drive-through, in-person material pick up for our Eureka Math Curriculum and HMH Literacy Curriculum materials on Wednesday September 16 for all students. This pick up will be in a drive through format, very similar to our Chromebook deployment. All cars will follow the traditional car rider line and drive up the main driveway to the front of the school. The hours for pick up will be 10am-1pm on Wednesday September 16.
Finally, the progress report schedule has been delayed by a week. Progress reports will be available in Parent Portal with updated grades for all students by 8am on Wednesday September 23. Unfortunately, no paper copies will be available and the only way to view your child’s grades will be though the Parent Portal, so please make sure you are able to login to your Parent Portal account before Wednesday. If you need help logging into your Parent Portal account, please reach out to your child’s teacher for assistance.
