Hello Parkwood Families,

This is your principal, Ms. Fearrington, with your first weekly message of the school year!  I hope you have been able to enjoy time with family and friends over the summer.  Time flies by when you are having fun!  We have missed all of you and are excited to see you soon, but summer is not over yet, so make sure to soak up as much sun and fun as you possibly can!  I want to share some important dates and information with you to make sure you are prepared for the upcoming school year.  Please listen closely or read the weekly messages because they will be jammed packed with information to ensure we have a smooth transition into the 2023-2024 school year.

Open House:

Open house will be hosted here at Parkwood on August 24^th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.  You will be able to meet your child’s teacher, get your parent portal set up, meet all of our wonderful staff and get transportation information and much more!  Please mark your calendar and be sure to attend.

First Day of School:

The first day of school is Monday, August 28^th!  This summer has flown by, but we are going to have an amazing school year. 

School Supplies:

We know that school supplies are already out and they are being bought fast, so if you want to get ahead, the school supply list is on our Parkwood website under “Quick Links”.  We have a list for all grade levels listed.

Kindergarten Summer Bridge:

We will be hosting our first Kindergarten Summer Bridge program on Tuesday, August 8^th through Thursday, August 10^th.  If you are interested in your Kindergartener attending, please fill out the form linked here.  We will not be able to provide bus transportation at this time, however, if you can bring your child, you are welcome to attend, and all students are expected to arrive by 7:15am.
