Parents and caregivers,
As we are getting back into the swing of things, we wanted to share a friendly reminder about car and child passenger safety. Proper car seat and seat belt use is one of the most important and simple ways to keep children safe every day!
In North Carolina, the law states that a car seat/booster is required for children less than 8 years old and under 80lbs. Children under the age of 5 are required to sit in the back seat, while it is recommended that children under 12 remain in the back seat.
If you are in need of a car seat or are unsure if your seat is installed correctly, there are community resources available!
