CHARGE! (Children and Adult Reading Group Encounter)

CHARGE! (Children and Adult Reading Group Encounter) for grades 2/3 and 4/5. CHARGE! is a book reading and discussion activity. The first 25 students and their parents sign up to read a book together over a month period and then return to the Media Center for refreshments and a discussion of the DPS Character Traits and how the story’s characters show specific traits.

Each combination grade-level group has a fall and a spring meeting. Fall meetings: 2nd/3rd graders are reading Lark Holds the Key by Natasha Deen meeting September 28, 2018 to discuss it and 4th/5th Graders meet October 19, 2018 at 7:30am in the Media Center to discuss Jack and the Geniuses At the Bottom of the World by Bill Nye the Science Guy and Gregory Mone.
