Good Evening Hillandale Families!

   This is Mr. Bloom with our weekly Message. We have made it to the first day of school!! We are very excited for you to join us tomorrow as we start the 24-25 school year. Just a few reminders to help make our day smooth. Arrival in the morning starts at 7:15  You may go through the carpool line or park and walk your student to the front doors. We will have plenty of staff on hand to support getting your kids to the classroom. It will be easier for them and you to move forward with drop off if we work this procedure from day 1. Please make sure your child's teacher is aware of how they are getting home the first couple days so we can have a smooth transition. Please remember that parents should not enter the building with their students in order to help create a smooth transition.

Kindergarten starts on Tuesday with the first half of the alphabet. Second half of the alphabet comes on Wednesday, and all of our kindergartners will come every day starting Thursday. Dismissal at the end of the day is at 2:15. The first week of school can be a little slower for carpool and buses as we work hard to make sure all students get to the right places. Please be patient in carpool as our staff works hard to get students to their cars. We have a lot of new families, and safety is very important to us. The bus schedule will also be a little unpredictable the first week as drivers learn the students and their stops. Please give some extra time at the stop to make sure you are there to receive your students. Remember that students grades K-3 need an adult present at the stop or an older student to take them off the bus. The link to the bus app is on the website.
