Dr. Jackaline Teel, Principal
Dr. Jackaline Teel, comes to Eastway with over 18 years of experience in PK-8 education. She has served as an assistant principal at Eno Valley Elementary and R.N. Harris Elementary. Dr. Teel has been a science teacher and curriculum writer for Wake County Public Schools and has worked as a science teacher and instructional coach for Nash-Rocky Mount Schools. Dr. Teel earned her Doctor of Education degree from Gardner-Webb University and Masters of School Administration from North Carolina State University.
A native of Tennessee, Mr. Guffey is a passionate educator with an MA in Religious Studies from Liberty University and was a North Carolina Principal Fellow, completing a Master’s of School Administration from North Carolina State University. Prior to entering education, Mr. Guffey spent over two decades in the business world working to build and lead teams in various corporations in Tennessee and New York City. Drawn to help students grow and with a lifelong love of learning, Mr. Guffey entered education initially as a high school social studies teacher at Durham’s Performance Learning Center. After conducting his principal internship at Eno Valley Elementary, Mr. Guffey is proud to join the staff of Eastway! Mr. Guffey has three sons and currently lives in Durham.
