Covid 19 Screening Testing, starting week of October 18!

Dear Creekside Parents,

Have you registered your children for complimentary COVID-19 testing?   In conjunction with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Durham Public Schools will begin providing weekly COVID-19 testing on site at Creekside Elementary. This is a voluntary testing process designed to help identify potential COVID-19 cases more quickly and limit the potential spread of the virus.

In order for your student to participate in this free, StrongSchoolsNC COVID-19 testing, you will need to register your student.

Keeping Kids Safe

We strongly recommend all families participate in this free program. COVID-19 variants are spreading throughout the United States and research shows routine testing can reduce the spread of COVID-19 by 50%, especially in large settings such as schools.

How it Works

A parent or guardian must register any minor under 18 years old. You’ll give a one-time consent and HIPAA authorization to share testing results with all necessary parties. All testing information is confidential and results will be available in hours.

Raleigh-based MAKO Medical will administer an anterior nares nasal swab test that is quick and gentle.

Register Today

We are dedicated to keeping North Carolina students and educators safe, but we need your help.
