    With the help of Mr. Bruce Cozart, two Neal Middle students, Janet Santos and Dayrin Rivera, will be receiving free home computers from the Kramden Institute, a Durham-based organization that provides comptuers and training to Durham community members.

  • Swingpals at Neal

    Swing Pals was founded by Doug Hodges in 2009 with the purpose of using golf as a medium to empower young teens, provide mentorship and encourage long-term healthy decisions. The Durham-based program partners with middle schools that have high percentages of students with subsidized meals. According to the program's website, Swing Pal's mission is to "build a foundation of health and strong character in children facing adversity."

    Durham County Library and Durham Public Schools are very excited to announce the October 1st launch of the Bull City, NC Schools & Libraries Achieving More (SLAM) initiative. This project provides all students in the Durham Public Schools with access to Durham County Library resources.
