  • COVID-19 "Grab and GO" Meal Service

    DPS yellow buses will deliver meals and snacks for children once each weekday to approximately 67 school and community sites located in areas of the greatest need in the Durham community. The buses will also provide the printed supplemental learning materials for distribution on March 23-25. All children ages 1 to 18, whether or not they are Durham Public Schools students, are eligible to receive a food bag, which will include lunch and a snack. Children must accompany their parents to the meal pick-up to receive a food bag.

  • COVID-19 Meal Service Mobile Sites

    Beginning on Monday, March 23, supplemental learning activities will be available for students digitally and in print. These activities will not be new learning for students and are not required but will reinforce instruction received in class. In-print activities will be provided for students who cannot access materials digitally and do not have internet access. Internet access or a device is NOT required for supplemental learning. In addition, DPS will provide a special website with parent/guardian curriculum resources and tips for staying connected to schools and providing emotional support for children. The page will be available at dpsnc.net beginning Sunday evening. DPS is also providing meal service beginning on Monday, March 23, currently scheduled for two weeks.
