SPARK Camp - An academic camp for rising AIG 4th through 8th graders enrolled in Durham Public Schools, will be held June 25th – 28th, 2018. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 6th. Should inclement weather cause school to be closed or delayed on that day, registration will be postponed to Tuesday, February 13th at 8:30 a.m.
This year’s list of sessions include “Basketball Bracketology”, “Comic Book Diversity”, “Partying with Poe and Prospero”, “CSI – Crime Scene Investigation”, “Escape!”, “Harry Potter and the Social Issues”, “Bull City Summer Shenanigans”, “Design It!”, “The Game of Chess”, “Bookmaking Bonanza”, “Time Travel / Dr. Who”, “The Voice of Jamaica”, “Get Jiggy with Geocache”, “An Artist a Day”, “Rev Up Your Engines”, “I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream”, “Computer Coding”, and much more!
All sessions with a complete description will be sent to attendees upon confirmation of camp registration.

The Department of Advanced Academics strives to design, guide and promote rigorous programs that challenge the advanced and gifted learners of Durham Public Schools. The Department will ensure that all DPS students have access to programs and courses that enhance and broaden opportunities for further education and career success.
