Every year, Jordan High School offers students in grade 11 the opportunity to take the PSAT. The PSAT allows students to prepare for the SAT, as well as to have the opportunity to earn scholarships through the National Merit Scholarship Corp. This year, the PSAT will be offered at Jordan on Wednesday, October 10. Students who are participating in the PSAT will complete the assessment in the morning and return to their normally scheduled classes once they have completed the test. Additional details and information about specific student testing locations and scheduling will be released in the upcoming weeks.
Students in the top 10% of the 11th grade class will be able to take the PSAT at no charge. These eligible students have been contacted by their counselor. Any other students who are interested in taking the PSAT can sign up by paying for the assessment via the link on the Jordan High School website. The cost of taking the assessment for students outside of the top 10% of the class is $16. Additionally, some fee waivers are available for a few students who meet specific criteria and are interested in taking the test. If your student is interested in learning more about fee waivers, please see the testing coordinator, Coach Annas. The deadline for signing up to participate in the PSAT is Tuesday, September 11, 2018.
Students who have signed up to take the PSAT should see Coach Annas to receive their PSAT Student Guides by September 28, 2018.
