Welcome to NHS Academy of
Pre-Veterinary Medicine &
Plant Sciences
The Academy of Pre-Veterinary Medicine & Plant Sciences is a program open to all interested rising 9th and 10th graders; students will be provided with an exploratory learning environment while integrating academic and career technical education instruction. Students in the Academy can participate in FFA activities that promote leadership, personal growth, and career success. The Academy also will provide students with the opportunity to network and gain hands-on-learning career experience through internships. With the opportunity to gain professional certifications in Vet Assisting and Young Plant Professional while in high school, students will graduate ready for college and the workforce.
Mission
The Academy of Pre-Veterinary Medicine & Plant Sciences engages all learners in rigorous instruction, hands-on-learning experiences and leadership opportunities within a science and agricultural context.
Vision
The Academy of Pre-Veterinary Medicine & Plant Sciences goal is to prepare students to become leaders and lifelong learners in this diverse, global, and changing society.
