About Durham School of Technology High School

Durham School of Technology is an innovative, four-year high school located on the campus of Hillside High School, a traditional, comprehensive high school with a current enrollment of 251 9th-12th graders. The school has a maximum capacity of 400 students, accommodating up to 100 per grade level. The student body is socioeconomically diverse, with 100% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch through a state-funded grant. As a redesigned high school, we are a Cooperative Innovative High School (CIHS). As a member of the CIHS network, our students are required to take honors level courses, complete community service hours, complete an internship, enroll in courses at a local community college for dual credit, and complete an associate's degree and/or certification. The state of North Carolina has identified our school as a level B high school.
