    Our counselors are responsible for the support and guidance of our students.

    Our Mission 
    The mission of Rogers-Herr Middle School’s counseling program is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program designed to promote the formation of productive and responsible citizens by assisting all students 
    develop academic, career, and personal/social competencies. 

    Our Philosophy
    The counselors at Rogers-Herr Middle School believe the school counseling program is an essential and integrate part of the overall educational process. Our belief is that all students have dignity, worth, and the right to participate in the school counseling program. We believe that all students’ ethnic, cultural, racial, sexual differences and special needs are considered in planning and implementing the school counseling program.

    School Counselor Ryanne Logan

    Hello, my name is Ryanne Logan, counselor for the 8th Grade and Pathfinder Team (7th Grade). I am also the coordinator for Federal 504 Plans and Rogers-Herr volunteers. I have been a Ram since January 2015. I am from Raleigh, NC and excited to be a part of the Rogers-Herr family. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro and my Master's from NC Agricultural and Technical State University. I enjoy eating good food, laughing, and spending time with friends and family.

    School Counselor Chancie Chaney
    Greetings! I joined the Rogers-Herr family in March of 2016 as the counselor for our 6th graders and the Pioneer Team (7th grade). I graduated from UNC at Chapel Hill with an M.Ed in School Counseling and previously worked as a middle school counselor in Person County. Prior to receiving a licensure in school counseling, I worked in youth leadership development across the US and abroad. My husband and I have lived in Durham since 2011 and we enjoy exploring the area with our dog Walter and volunteering with Junior Leadership Durham.
