Hello, Creekside Families, this is Victoria Creamer with some exciting staffing news from school. As you may have heard, the school board approved a second, full time assistant principal for Creekside for the 2018-19 school year. A small group of staff members joined me last week to interview for this position. I am pleased to announce that Lindsay Boykin, our former testing coordinator, has been appointed and will officially begin working with us on August 1.
Ms. Boykin has a bachelor's degree from the University of Maine and a master degree in school administration from UNC Chapel Hill. She originally joined the Creekside staff last December as the testing coordinator. In addition to her duties in that role, she assisted with some administrative work, including data analysis, classroom observations, and student discipline. We are excited for the continuity and stability that her appointment brings to our school and Ms. Aguilar and I are happy to welcome her to the administrative team.
For now, we are continuing to work to prepare for the 2018-19 school year. Supply lists will be posted during the week of July 30 and our meet the teacher event dates are listed on our website. If you have a rising kindergartner, or know of anyone who does, please encourage them to enroll as soon as possible. Our office is open Monday-Thursday from 9 AM until 2 PM.
