  • Morehead Planetarium Camp Assistant (Student Assistant)

    Morehead Planetarium recruiting high school students to serve as camp assistants. Camp Assistants will help certified teacher lead daily (morning and afternoon) science sessions for 40 students in grades 2nd - 8th at a local library or community-based center in Alamance, Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Harnett, Johnston, Orange, Vance, and Wake counties.

  • Summer Basketball Camp Scholarships Available for Middle School Students

    Four County EMC is giving two local middle school students the opportunity to hit the hardwood alongside their favorite college basketball athletes and coaches this summer. Four County EMC will select one student for each camp in a competitive process based on academics, extra-curricular activities, and a short essay. Rising sixth through eighth graders are eligible to apply and the final deadline is March 31.

  • Project Yellow Light

    Project Yellow Light is a scholarship competition designed to bring about change. People know texting and driving is dangerous, but they do it anyway. As an applicant you have one clear mission: create a PSA to encourage your friends to avoid distracted driving, specifically texting while driving. Together, we can spread the message that texting and driving is unacceptable for all of us. No one is special enough to text and drive.

  • UNITED STATES COURT of APPEALS for the FOURTH CIRCUIT ESSAY CONTEST

    The essay contest is open to all students currently in grades 9 through 12 from Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
