City of Durham Participatory Budgeting
The City of Durham invites DPS students who are 13 years of age and older to participate in Participatory Budgeting (PB), regarding city projects benefiting youth. Participatory Budgeting is a process of democratic deliberation and decision-making, in which ordinary people decide how to allocate part of a public budget. It also provides students with the opportunity to rank public spending projects and gives them the power to make real decisions about how money is spent.
The voting link and informational video are shared below, and students will be able to participate through October 31, 2023. Students may only vote once.
