The 1 Million Project is offering a free device/hotspot to students who do not have internet at home in order to help address the nation’s homework gap/digital inequity. Given the seriousness and rapidly-changing nature of the Coronavirus situation, we have an opportunity now to provide activated hotspots to students in grades K-12 who meet the following criteria:
No home internet access at all;
Multiple students in the same household, working from a single computer;
The Internet is available at home, but at a very low bandwidth (i.e., dial up speeds) and is not adequate for completing homework assignments.
