TO ENROLL IN A PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM:

    • Students must be assigned by the Office of Early Education.

    • Parents must enroll their child using the online enrollment portal for Durham Public Schools.

    • Once a parent enters a home address, the registration platform may automatically place the preschool student at the base school assigned to the address entered.

    • Parents must select the option that states your child has been assigned/accepted to another school.

    • Parents must then choose the assigned school name from the drop-down list.

    • Be sure to click submit after all pages are completed. Once an enrollment is submitted, it cannot be amended.

    • Please note: every page of the enrollment process must be completed in-full in order for a registration to be considered complete.

    Calendars and schedules

Most programs follow the traditional DPS school calendar, except for classrooms in year-round elementary schools which follow the year-round DPS school calendar.  The Pre-K instructional day is 6.5 hours.  Each Title I Pre-K classroom follows their school's bell schedule.
