I earned my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2015. I also earned my Master’s of Reading Education from Xavier in 2018. I have been teaching 3rd grade for 5 years.  I love to teach reading and introduce kids to a variety of new reading topics. My favorite thing is to read aloud to my class and watch them fall in love with a book as much as I do. Outside of school I love to do all types of crafts and artistic activities. You’ll also find me at yoga almost everyday of the week, or curling up with a new book and my dog.

I earned my bachelors in Elementary Education from Winston-Salem State University with a secondary concentration in special education. I have been teaching 3rd grade for 4 years. I am very passionate about my students both past and present, and I love to see them succeed in their academics. My favorite subject to teach is math. I enjoy watching my students get excited about learning new material and then applying it to real world scenarios. Outside of school, I am an auxiliary coach for Southern Durham school of Energy and Sustainability High school and Shaw University. I love everything about marching bands and I pledged to serve bands everywhere, so I do that through the capacity of coaching flag and dance. You can also find me at Prime Institute which is a black owned gym in Durham that I attend weekly.
