I earned my Bachelors of Elementary Education at UNC Pembroke. I love to teach reading because it is such an important and powerful skill to have as a student. I love watching students become more successful. When I'm outside of school I can be found running trails, sitting on my balcony with my face buried in a book, or cooking a lovely meal.

I earned my BA in 2012 from NCCU and my Masters in Elementary Education in 2017 from Grand Canyon University. I have been teaching at WG Pearson for 3 years, as a matter of fact I’ve only been teaching 3 years! Before becoming a teacher I was an Instructional Assistant for 20 years. My favorite subject to teach is Math. I love when my students have a breakthrough and I see that aha moment come through! I also enjoy read-alouds when I can get into character. Outside of school I can be found doing more school work, trying to find ways to grow my kids and myself. When not working I can be found hanging out with my family or friends and just enjoying life!
