Mrs. Bradshaw

I attended part of my undergraduate degree at Howard University in Washington, DC from 2000-2001. I returned to North Carolina and obtained my undergraduate degree at NCCU in 2004 with a double major in Family and Consumer Sciences and Biology. I graduated again in 2007 in Elementary Education. I have been in education for 15 years. This will be my 10th year in Kindergarten. I have been at W.G. Pearson for 7 years. My favorite subjects are reading and social studies. I also enjoy math. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy shopping and finding resources to help my students excel for the future.

Ms. Sperisen

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from New Mexico State University in 2014. Post college, I worked in Reggio Emilia and Montessori Preschools. I then moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I was an Early Intervention social worker for 2 years working with young children from birth-3 years old. After this experience I moved overseas to Switzerland where I taught Preschool at an International Bilingual Academy. This is my first year teaching for Durham Public schools. I am passionate about teaching students through hands-on experiences and allowing my students to discover their own interests through exposure. My favorite thing to teach is tolerance and open mindedness through multicultural literature. Immersing my students with different cultural knowledge teaches them what makes us diverse. Aside from literature I greatly enjoy STEAM activities. You will often see me taking my students outside or having a STEAM Friday in my classroom. Most of my hobbies include outdoor activity. I love to hike, travel, or simply sit on the balcony, sipping on coffee, reading a good book, while soaking up the sun. I am new to NC, so I have also enjoyed exploring new places in the community whether it's a thrift store, a coffee shop, or a museum. I am adamant about supporting black owned businesses so you will also see me in those spaces as well.

Mrs. Ng

I completed my undergraduate degree at UNC-G in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. I was a computer programmer for Wrangler Jeans for 14 years, and a marketing analyst for United Guaranty for 5 ½ years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. I became a substitute teacher when my youngest child entered kindergarten. I then went through the master’s program at NC AT&T to obtain my license in elementary education. This is my 6th year teaching full-time, and I’m proud to say it is also my 6th year teaching at W.G. Pearson. I’ve always enjoyed math the most but, truly, I enjoy my day with my students, no matter what we’re learning. In my spare time, I love to walk or hike, and read! I also enjoy gardening and spending time with my family. Both my children are in college now, so I truly cherish the time when they are home.
