A message from Principal Hart-Olivis

At Hillandale, we have professionals who are not only experienced teachers, but experienced learners, innovators, and dreamers.  At Hillandale, we believe in the power of family and the power of unity to build the next generation of learners, innovators, and dreamers.  It takes more than a village to teach students the Hillandale way: it takes The Hillandale Family.  With the partnership of parents, the support of our local community, and the force of multi-generational relationships and connections, we transform students into citizens of a diverse, global community.

At Hillandale, we use a S.T.E.A.M. emphasis in our approach.  We aim to foster creativity and the ability to problem solve in our learners, especially in the areas of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics.  Our vision is to provide all students at Hillandale Elementary School with the highest quality instruction so that each student is able to achieve his or her highest potential while becoming an independent, responsible citizen and a lifelong learner.  We strive to provide a school climate that focuses on teamwork and setting high expectations for all members of the school community.

I'm honored to be both the proud principal and a member of The Hillandale Family.  Together, we will continue our mission to serve each student through commitment, caring, creativity, and continuous growth.
