I have been teaching 37 years serving kindergarten through adult education. I am certified in Art Education and Art Therapy. I have taught in Michigan, Colorado and North Carolina with the last 6 years in Durham at Mangum Elementary. I enjoy teaching all ages and believe that art education is a vital subject which helps round a student in life.
“At age 9, I knew I wanted to be a visual artist. At the age of 12, I had a very inspiring art teacher that set me on my way. I became an art teacher, following in her footsteps but still had a desire to be a successful painter. I am a realistic because I believe in painting what I can see, what God has so perfectly created. I do not want to do art that shocks people, but comforts them. I want people to look at my work and see the peace that God has created.”
