This is my 29th year teaching in Durham Public Schools. I began my journey teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students for about 16 years. I taught self-contained classes as well as Inclusion. From there, I transitioned to First and Second grade and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I am the mother of twins! They are Seniors at UNC-Chapel Hill -- Go Heels! I love to watch movies and go for long walks in the neighborhood. I also have a passion for traveling to Quito, Ecuador and sharing my faith there. I have gone the last two years and look forward to going again next year!
Hello Mangum Families! I am Tracie Humphries, 2nd grade teacher with Michelle Crutchfield. I live in Timberlake with my husband Jason and two sons Dustin and Dalton. We have two dogs Daisy, Rosie, and a guinea pig named Belle. I graduated from ECU with a degree in Elementary Education and K-12 Reading. This will be my 8th year teaching. I love what I do and the Mangum community!
I grew up as an MK (missionary kid), mainly in Kenya and South Africa , but also spent a couple of years in France and the UK. We moved to Bahama 23 years ago and have loved it ever since. My husband, Steven, and I have 3 children - Jordan, Trevor, and Callie, (who all attended Mangum) . I love to travel, read, see good movies, and eat food that reminds me of my years in Africa! One of my favorite things to do is have a cup of Chai tea! I also love working at Mangum and can't wait to meet all the new faces each year!
