Mission:

The mission of the Josephine Dobbs Clement Early College High School counseling program is to provide equity of services and access to a data-driven comprehensive program that promotes the academic, social-emotional, and college/career preparatory needs of all students. All students will be empowered to reach their fullest potential and gain the skills necessary to successfully complete the rigorous high school curriculum and up to two years of college credit.   Additionally, students are encouraged to self-advocate and attain the humanitarian skills necessary to develop excellent character. The school counselor will collaborate with school personnel, families, stakeholders and the community; the counseling program will advocate for, support, and manage all students’ progress and future college and career success.

Vision:

The vision of the Josephine Dobbs Clement Early College High School counseling program is that with nurture, support and excellence is the norm, all students’ will graduate high school in four years with up to two years of college credits. Students will have the critical thinking and creativity necessary to meet the needs of post-secondary education. Displaying respect for the diversity of others, providing service to the community, and becoming leaders in their profession. Possess the ability to be self-advocates and demonstrate the ability to address the academic, social-emotional, and career/college needs necessary to become a globally competitive citizen
