Summer Camps

  • Enjoy day camps that combine enrichment activities with traditional recreational opportunities! Sports, games, swimming, field trips and crafts combine with interesting learning themes to create an exciting summer. All activities are included in the fee - there are no extra charges! All of Durham Public Schools' Summer Camps are licensed by the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education.

    Summer Camp Locations vary from year to year, based on elementary school facility availability.

    2018 Summer Camp Information

    Traditional camps for rising 1st - 6th graders 
    Dates: June 18 - August 3
    Hours:  7:00am - 6:00pm
    Locations: Creekside, Hillandale, and Oak Grove
    Summer Camp Family Orientation will be held at each site Sunday, June 10th at 3:00pm
    Summer Camp Registration Deadline for the first day of camp is Friday, June 8, 2018 by 5:00PM. 

    Camp 4 Rising K

    Camp 4 Rising K is a summer camp opportunity for RISING kindergarten students.  Campers must be five years old by August 31, 2018 in order to attend.
    Dates:  June 18 – August 3
    Hours;  7:00am - 6:00pm
    Locations:  Morehead Montessori
    Summer Camp Family Orientation will be held Sunday, June 10th at 3:00pm

    Legal Law Camp

    Rising 7th - 10th Graders only
    The goal of the camp is to offer participants exposure to the field of law with an overview of the legal system, a description of our courts, guest lectures by professors, area lawyers and judges and much more will be offered!
