Hello to the week Little River School Community!

Did you know that each week we honor and recognize our growing leaders for showing the 7 Habits and making the great choices we expect of them? Ask your child about Mr. C’s Tuesday & Friday morning announcements and how your child can get a special call on Fridays recognizing their efforts!

September is attendance awareness month within Durham Public Schools. Just in time to steady those evening and morning habits for school.  In an effort to promote attendance and being on time across Little River K8 School, I would like to encourage every student to arrive to school on time and every day.

Our Hispanic Heritage event will be held this Thursday, September 19. Students will be involved in a living wax museum, featuring individuals from our shared American legacy of Hispanic & Latino heritage in all areas of history and culture. We will also have performances of Columbian dancers, an Afro-Hispanic drum troop and storyteller as well as crafts, music, and food tastings. Have dinner with us on Thursday! Teachers will share curriculum information after the activities.

Have a great week! And remember leaders walk the river way every day in Beaver Nation: to learn respect and shine!

    Kindly,

    Dr. C. Hogans
