DPS Teacher of the Year!

One of the highlights of Teacher Appreciation Week is the naming of Durham Public Schools’ Teacher of the Year.  Matthew M. Sears, (pictured, second from right), a math teacher at Hillside New Tech High School, was named the 2008 SunTrust Gold Star Teacher of the Year for Durham Public Schools at a festive banquet hosted by SunTrust Bank at the Durham Hilton on May 7.
