State of Our Schools - January 21, 2013
Wednesday, January 23, 2013, Superintendent Eric J. Becoats will speak to the community on the progress of the Strategic Plan. The second annual State of Our Schools event will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the Carolina Theatre.
This event is open to the public. Media is asked to arrive and set up no later than 4:45 p.m.
In January 2011, Durham Public Schools launched a strategic plan containing six strategic areas: Academic Acceleration; Communications & Partnerships; Equitable Standards; Effective Operations; Talent Development; and Wellness & Safety. Throughout the six areas there are 120 specific and measurable strategies.
The Carolina Theatre is located at 309 West Morgan Street. Parking is available free-of-charge at the Durham Centre Parking Garage.
